The privy at the Leesville North Fork public ramp is being removed and will be replaced with a concrete building with running water, sinks and flush toilets.
The project is in the final stages of a multi-year effort that began with the installation of a $2 million wastewater treatment plant, removal of old septic tanks throughout the property, installation of septic hookups at several campsites and paving of many of the roads.
The project will also include a new shower house for the campground.
The improvements to Leesville North Fork are being completed by the Muskingum Watershed Conservancy District and are anticipated to be completed by early November.
Porta-johns will be available during construction.
