
Mrs. Alice Guess, longtime At-Large Member of the Leesville City Council, has announced her retirement effective on April 27.
Mrs. Guess served nine consecutive terms, totaling 36 years of public service to the City of Leesville. During her tenure, she played a role in decisions supporting infrastructure improvements, municipal services, and overall quality of life for residents. As an at-large representative, she served the entire community.
At a recent meeting, the Leesville City Council appointed Jessica Herring to fill the At-Large seat for the remainder of the term. Herring will serve until the next municipal election.
Mayor Rick Allen and members of the City Council expressed appreciation for Mrs. Guess’s years of service and contributions to the community, wishing her well in her retirement.
