The Coushatta Tribe collected longleaf pine needles on Sept. 3 on the Kisatchie National Forest in Vernon Parish for making cultural baskets. Public Affairs, Recreation and Heritage Staff Officer Jim Caldwell said it was a great day to be with friends in the Kisatchie National Forest.
