The Vernon Parish Sheriff’s Office received a report of a suspicious object at a local apartment complex earlier today, Aug. 6. After further investigation, deputies determined the object was a non-explosive military training aid. The object was collected by the Vernon Parish Sheriff’s Office, and there was no threat to the public.
