East Leesville Baptist Church is highlighting its Compassion in Action (CIA) group, a ministry focused on encouraging and caring for others by sharing the love of Christ.

The group meets every Wednesday at 10 a.m. in the Family Life Center at East Leesville Baptist Church.

Members of Compassion in Action write cards of encouragement, deliver flowers to those who are sick, homebound, recovering or lonely, and take homemade cookies to brighten someone’s day.

The ministry is made up of men, women and children of all ages and welcomes new members who have a heart for encouraging others and serving the community.
