Leesville Junior High has welcomed several new staff members for the upcoming school year.
Bridget Barboza joins Leesville Junior High as a Spanish teacher. Barboza has been teaching Spanish for the past 10 years and is passionate about creating a positive, engaging environment where students can grow academically and personally. She said she is excited for the new school year and getting to know everyone.
Coach Webber joins the staff as girls physical education head coach and girls basketball coach. Webber is a two-time graduate of the University of Louisiana at Monroe and has more than six years of teaching experience, along with more than eight years of coaching experience. Outside of school, she enjoys traveling, fishing, spending time with friends and family, and mentoring and guiding youth.
Ivory Luna joins Leesville Junior High as a paraprofessional. This will be Luna’s first year working in the school system. She has coached in the area for more than two years and has worked with many students in the middle school age group. Luna said she is excited for the opportunity to help students learn and grow.
Reginald Cooper joins Leesville Junior High as a paraprofessional. A Leesville native, Cooper said he is excited to begin his first year as a paraprofessional and support the community by working with students and celebrating their accomplishments.
Sarah Roberts joins Leesville Junior High as a paraprofessional. Roberts is a licensed teacher from Washington state and plans to pursue a master’s degree in special education. She said she is excited for the opportunity to gain experience in special education. Roberts and her husband moved to Louisiana at the end of October 2025, and she enjoys exploring the state and its food.
