The Leesville Lions Club Rodeo has been named the Louisiana Rodeo Cowboys Association’s 2026 Rodeo of the Year, earning the organization’s top honor following its 76th annual event.

The recognition marks another milestone for the Leesville Lions Club Rodeo, which was previously named New Rodeo of the Year in 2021 and has ranked among the association’s top five rodeos every year since.

The Leesville Lions Club announced the award and expressed appreciation for the community support and dedication that contributed to the rodeo’s success.

According to the organization, the annual event requires the combined efforts of Lions Club members, volunteers, sponsors, contestants, rodeo crews, and spectators.

The club credited those individuals and groups for helping make the 76th Annual Leesville Lions Club Rodeo a memorable event while continuing to support the Louisiana Lions Camp.

The 2026 Rodeo of the Year designation represents the highest recognition the event has received from the Louisiana Rodeo Cowboys Association since earning its New Rodeo of the Year award in 2021.

The Leesville Lions Club thanked everyone involved in the event and celebrated the recognition as an achievement shared by the entire community.
