The Leesville Lions Club congratulated fellow Lion Ben Iles on his recent induction into the Friends of the Forge by JRTC and Fort Polk.

Iles has spent decades serving Louisiana and supporting Fort Polk, including through his own military service, his leadership during Hurricane Laura and his continued advocacy for Soldiers, Families and the communities surrounding the installation.

The Leesville Lions Club said Iles has also continued to serve through his involvement with the organization, giving his time and supporting his community.

The club noted that Iles often says, “It’s for the children.”

The Leesville Lions Club congratulated Iles on the honor and said it was proud to see him receive the recognition.
