
Sheriff Sam Craft of the Vernon Parish Sheriff’s Office announces recent arrests made by VPSO.
September 8, 2026
Randy C. Gordy, age 60, of Leesville, was arrested and charged with one count of Turning Movements and Required Signals and one count of Possession of a Schedule II Narcotic. Bond has not been set and Gordy remains in the VPSO jail.
September 9, 2026
Laquitha Janell Walker, age 28, of Leesville, was arrested and charged with one count of Domestic Abuse Battery with Child Endangerment, one count of Resisting an Officer, and one count of Domestic Abuse Battery – Aggravated 2nd Degree. Bond has not been set and Walker remains in the VPSO jail.
Sarah Elizabeth McKee, age 31, of Leesville, was arrested and charged with one count of Possession of a Schedule II Narcotic. Bond has not been set. A detainer for the Louisiana Department of Probation and Parole has been placed on McKee and she remains in the VPSO jail.
September 10, 2026
Robert Earl Winstead, Jr., age 45, of DeRidder, was arrested and charged with two counts of Possession of a Schedule II Narcotic, three counts of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, one count of Tail Lamps, one count of Switched Plates, one count of Knowingly Operating a vehicle without Insurance, one count of Failure to Register Vehicle, and one count of Stop Lamps and Turn Signals Required on New Motor Vehicles. Bond has not been set and Winstead remains in the VPSO jail.
ALL PERSONS ARE PRESUMED INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY IN A COURT OF LAW.
