The Leesville Lions Club welcomed fellow Lion Tammy Anderson with Friends of Main Street, who shared the organization’s mission to continue revitalization efforts in the Main Street district, support existing businesses and encourage more small businesses to make downtown Leesville home.
Anderson provided an update on upcoming events, including Fall Fest, Food Truck Friday, the Rodeo Parade, Witch Way on Main, Veterans Day activities, Shop Small Saturday and plans to Light Up Main Street for Christmas.
She also highlighted Saturday’s Change for Main Auction, hosted by the Greater Vernon Chamber of Commerce to support Main Street revitalization efforts.
During the meeting, Patrick officially passed the responsibility of the Fire Lion to Devin, who is now charged with guarding it from thieves, vandals and others who may seek to destroy it.
The Leesville Lions Club described the meeting as another Thursday of fellowship, community and mischief.
