Friends of Leesville Main Street is seeking volunteers to help support, promote and revitalize downtown Leesville.

A volunteer meet-and-greet will be held Thursday, Aug. 13, at 5 p.m. at the Leesville Event Center, 1130 Ferrand Street, Leesville.

The event will give prospective volunteers an opportunity to meet other volunteers, learn how they can get involved and become part of efforts to support downtown Leesville.

Volunteer opportunities include event support for festivals, markets and special events; business support to support local businesses and recruit new ones; beautification projects to help keep downtown clean, attractive and welcoming; promotion and outreach to share the story of downtown and bring more visitors to Main Street; and community connections to build relationships and strengthen the community.

Friends of Leesville Main Street encourages residents to volunteer their time and talents to support downtown Leesville.
