The Leesville Lions Club recognized Luke McCormick during its weekly meeting as part of its “Lunch with the Lions” program.
McCormick has served as a Leo for the past five years, completing more than 150 hours of community service. He served as president of the Anacoco High School Leo Club, represented District 8-L as the Leo-to-Lion Liaison and was named District Leo of the Year.
During the meeting, McCormick shared about his experiences as a counselor at the Louisiana Lions Camp. He served as a counselor for two summers and said the campers’ experiences helped shape the path he has chosen for his future.
This fall, McCormick will begin attending Nicholls State University to pursue a degree in Culinary Arts. He also plans to start an Omega Leo Club on campus to continue serving others.
The Leesville Lions Club said McCormick represents leadership through service, humility, compassion and purpose.
