Vernon 4-H is recognizing RaeLynn “Rain” Miller of Simpson High School for her performance at the 2026 Louisiana 4-H & FFA State Horse Show held at the Beauregard Covered Arena in DeRidder.

Miller competed in some of the largest speed events of the week, including Pole Bending and Stake Race. The Pole Bending event included 34 competitors, along with a highly competitive field in Stake Race.

Miller earned the following results:

• 6th Place – Pole Bending (34 competitors)
• 5th Place – Stake Race
• Barrel Racing – Hit a barrel, resulting in a no-time

Vernon 4-H said Miller showed determination, grit, and great horsemanship throughout the week while representing Simpson Junior High, Vernon Parish, and Louisiana 4-H.
