Leesville Recreation complex celebrates ribbon cutting, highlights major community investment

The City of Leesville and the Leesville Recreation Complex marked a milestone this week with a ribbon cutting ceremony celebrating the opening of the new multi-use sports facility.

City officials thanked residents, partners, and sponsors for their support, noting that Monday morning’s event drew a strong community turnout and marked what they described as a successful launch for the complex.

The facility includes five turf ball fields, two practice fields, four pickleball courts, and a fishing pond. Officials say the development is designed to serve local youth programs and provide expanded recreational opportunities for Leesville and surrounding areas.

The City of Leesville Municipal Government and recreation leaders also recognized support from the Vernon Parish Police Jury and the West Louisiana Forestry Festival, crediting local partnerships for helping bring the project to completion.

City representatives said the complex represents a long-term investment in community recreation and youth development, and they expect it to play a key role in future sporting events, programming, and regional growth.
