The Leesville Police Department is investigating the death of a local man found in a parking lot near the former GBI building on South 5th Street.
Officers were dispatched to the area on July 29 around 3 pm after receiving a call about a man lying on the ground near the building. Upon arrival, authorities located the individual, identified as Gregory Mosher of Leesville. Family members have since been notified.
According to investigators, Mosher had been using the area as a place to sleep at night.
The Vernon Parish Coroner’s Office responded to the scene and took custody of the body. After a preliminary investigation and examination, authorities do not suspect foul play in Mosher’s death.
