Greater Vernon Chamber of Commerce Installs 2025 Board

The Greater Vernon Chamber of Commerce held its 82nd Annual Banquet and Installation of Officers and Directors, Tuesday, January 28, at St. Michael’s Center.

The guest speaker for the evening was Richard Nelson, Secretary for the Louisiana Department of Revenue.  Nelson was introduced by District 30 State Senator Michael Reese.  Nelson addressed the new tax structure for the state.  Sweeping changes occurred during the November Special Legislative session. Nelson addressed several points in his visit with the audience.

Outgoing Chamber Board Chairman, Luke Brandon, passed the Chamber reins to incoming chair, Cindy Wann Jeane.  Jeane introduced the 2025 Officers and Directors.  They were installed by Chamber CEO, Logan Morris.

The 2025 Executive Committee of the Chamber consists of Chairman, Cindy W. Jeane, First Vice Chair, Trey Dowden, Second Vice Chair, Robert Haymon, and immediate past chair, Luke Brandon.   The 2025 Board of Directors includes Dr. Geralyn Janice, Patrick Martin, Angela Dowden, Jessica Herring, Tina Rhodes, Kevin Quinn, Gregory Lord Jr, Karra Aymond and Logan Morris (ex-officio).

The Chamber Banquet sponsors included the Merchants and Farmers Bank and Fairway Independent Mortgage.  The evening meal was catered by The Hickory Smokehouse.
