Merchants & Farmers Bank Promotes Parker to NWLA President

Ken Hughes, Chairman/President & CEO of Merchants & Farmers Bank has announced Matt Parker has been promoted to NWLA President for the Vernon Parish area market.  As NWLA Market President, Parker will be responsible for acquiring, retaining, and processing customers, while heading the mortgage department and overseeing commercial and consumer banking.

Parker has been with Merchants & Farmers for over 11 years, serving as Vice President of Consumer/Commercial/Mortgage Lending, and Mortgage Department Supervisor.

A Vernon Parish native and Pitkin High School graduate, class of 2000, Matt received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration/Finance at Northwestern State University, in 2004.  Parker resides in Simpson, Louisiana with wife, Kaydee, and two children—Lane (15) and Gracie (9). Matt is an avid hunter and angler.
