Remembering Dorothy Hunter

Funeral services for Dorothy Hunter will be held on Friday, December 6, at 11:00 a.m., at Beech Grove Congregational Methodist Church in Anacoco, with pastor James Kay officiating. The visitation will be held on Thursday, December 5, from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Burial will follow in Beech Grove Cemetery under the direction of Jeane’s Funeral Service. Those serving as pallbearers will be Kyle Medley, Austin Jeane, Layne Belsha, and Ed Bryant. Honorary pallbearers will be Billy Buckley, William Medley, and Hollis Medley.

Dorothy Hunter was born on August 25, 1961, to William and Mildred Hunter. She passed from this life on December 4, 2024. Dorothy grew up in Anacoco, grew a love for cats, and loved to care for them. She also enjoyed word search puzzles, as well as babysitting her nieces. For many years, she spent her time working at the Vernon Sheltered Workshop. She was loved my many and will be missed by many as well.

Preceding her in death were her parents, grandparents, brother, Keith Dowden, and uncle, Jerry Hall.

Those left to cherish her memory are her sister, Lisa Welch; brother, Kevin Hunter (Rose); aunt, Correna Carr; nieces, Candace Jeane and Cassidy Melody (Kyle); great-nieces, Kaydence Jeane, Hollis Jeane, and William Jeane.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made to Jeane’s Funeral Service for the funeral cost of Dorothy Hunter.
