Leesville High Grad Leads US Army in Pacific

General Ronald P. Clark, a 1984 graduate of Leesville High School, was awarded his fourth star in ceremonies November 8 at Ft. Shafter, Hawaii.  Clark took command that day of USAP and its 106,000 soldiers and civilians.  USARPAC is the Army component to the US-Indo-Pacific Command, which has security responsibility over half the planet.

Clark returned to Hawaii, following two years as the senior military assistant to the Secretary of Defense.  He previously served as the Army Pacific Chief of Staff/Ft.Shafter, from 2017-2018,25th Infantry Division Commanding General/Schofield Barracks from 2018-2019 and US Indo-Pacific Command Chief of Staff/Camp HM Smith, from 2019-2021.

Clark graduated West Point in 1988 and was commissioned a second lieutenant in the infantry.  He earned a Master of Military Art & Science degree from the US Army Command and General Staff College.

General Clark is married, with two adult children.  He was born into a military family and still calls the Leesville area his hometown.
