Recent Arrests by Vernon Parish Sheriff’s Office

Geno Johnson, age 63 of Pitkin, was arrested and charged with one count Possession of a Schedule II Narcotic (methamphetamine), one count of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, one count of Criminal Trespass, and one count of Theft.  Bond has not been set.  Johnson remains in the Vernon Parish Jail.

Travis Smith, age 25 of Leesville, was arrested on a Commitment to Await Extradition Warrant from the State of Arkansas.  Smith remains in the Vernon Parish Jail awaiting extradition.

Dasmine Young, age 28 of Jackson, Mississippi, was arrested on a Commitment to Await Extradition Warrant from Jasper County, Texas.  Young remains in the Vernon Parish Jail awaiting extradition to Texas.

Jake Fruge, age 52 of Breaux Bridge, Louisiana, was arrested on an Out-of-Jurisdiction Bench Warrant.  Bond has not been set.  Fruge remains in the Vernon Parish Jail.
