A tropical rainstorm is threatening to disrupt life in Southwest and West Central Louisiana heading into this weekend. The potential for elevation into a tropical storm or tropical depression is perfect say forecasters. A week of clear weather is expected to follow.
Football games are rapidly changing. The Rosepine at Westlake game has already been moved to Saturday at 11 a.m. Other games could be negatively impacted.
Low lying areas could receive up to a foot of rain from this system, which formed in the northwest Gulf of Mexico and wandered into Texas on Monday. The system moved back offshore and strengthened. It is expected to circulate in the area along the I-10 corridor and northward through today.
Please stay abreast of changing weather information and be prepared to evacuate low lying and flood prone areas.
