Funeral services for Helen L. Self were held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 25, 2024 at the Beech Grove Congregational Methodist Church in Anacoco with Bro. Brent Nobel and Bro. Bill Jones officiating. Burial followed in the Beech Grove Cemetery in Anacoco.

Helen was born on March 20, 1942, in Oakdale, Louisiana. She passed away on July 23, 2024, in Anacoco, Louisiana.

She was preceded in death by her grandchild: Zachary Ryan.

She is survived by her husband, George Self of Anacoco; daughters: Belinda Hale and husband Wesley of Anacoco, Gina Josey and husband Robert of Anacoco, Shaunda Gates of Anacoco, Shelley Funk and  husband Fred of Hornbeck; grandchildren: Briget, Whitney, Hayley, Channing, Hannah; and great-granddaughter: Steely.
