The Leesville Fire Department has a novel way for area kids and adults to beat the heat.  They have set up a schedule in neighborhoods around the city where they will set up their giant “water curtains”  for all to enjoy.  Bring swimsuits or comfy clothing and get wet.  There is no cost to enjoy the cooling spray.  Here is the schedule for the remainder of the summer:

Friday, July 26     1-3 pm    Berry Avenue at Belview Road;

Friday, August 2   1-3 pm    West Schweitzer at Eighth Street;

Saturday, August 10     Splash-Dash-Roll event on lower Third Street (afternoon hours).
