Assumption Parish Sheriff, Leland Falcon reported the arrest June 10 of William David Defoor III, age 43, of 199 Flat Town Road in Leesville, on felony charges related to his failure to notify and register as a Sex Offender/Child Predator.

The Assumption Sheriff’s office received information on an alleged sex offender being out of compliance with his sex offender registration in Vernon Parish.  An investigation determined that Defoor was residing in Pierre Part and working in construction.

Defoor was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of Failure to Register and Notify as a Sex Offender/Child Predator.  He remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
