A new bond hearing was held Tuesday, September 12, 2023, for suspected arsonist Paul Nash, age 59 of Rosepine. Nash was initially arrested at the scene of a wildfire near the Providence Community Thursday, August 24. He was charged with multiple crimes, and his bond was set at $13,000.
The Vernon Parish District Attorney’s Office reports that the State and the defense met an agreement, and a new bond for Nash was set at $125,000. The defendant remains in the Vernon Parish Jail, pending posting of bond. No other court dates have been set for this defendant in the 30th Judicial District.
