Christopher Joseph Dewey, 25, of Leesville passed away on Sunday, April 21, 2024, leaving a void in our hearts. He was an avid gamer, a passionate hunter, and a skilled fisherman. His love for the outdoors was evident in his favorite pastimes of deer and squirrel hunting. Christopher’s devotion to his family was unwavering, and his memory will forever be a testament to that.

The funeral services for Christopher were held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, at the Fort Hope Baptist Church, in Leesville, Louisiana. The service was officiated by Rev. Keary Jordan, under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home.  Interment followed at Lone Star Cemetery in Cravens, Louisiana.

Christopher was born on January 17, 1999, in Lafayette, Louisiana, to his loving mom, Edith Marion Dewey Lehto.

Christopher is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, John Scott Dewey and Maureen Dewey.

Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Brian Owen Lehto Jr. and Edith Marion Dewey-Lehto of Leesville; grandparents, Brian Owen Lehto of Rospeine, Louisiana, and Janet Lehto of Mississippi; brothers, Noah Adam Dewey (Haley) of Leesville, and Caleb Gage Monk of Leesville; and sister, Hannah Jade Wilkinson (David) of Pineville, Louisiana.
