Estelle was born September 3, 1943, and passed away August 28, 2023, in Anacoco, Louisiana at the age of 79.
She worked for many years as the cafeteria manager at Pickering Elementary. For 55 years, she was a minister’s wife and traveled with her husband, J.R. Haymon, all over the United States. She enjoyed traveling and came up with a creative way to make some extra spending money when she took a cruise. She had a “Cuss Can” that her family contributed to and was able to enjoy her trip even more with their help. Estelle spent many hours taking her children to their sporting and band events. Visiting her family and friends was something she truly enjoyed because she was a people person.
Estelle was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, James Ralph “J.R.” Haymon; parents,
Ebarb Bob Whiddon & Joyce Spikes Whiddon; and brother, Bobby Whiddon. Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Danny Haymon and wife Melinda of Merryville, LA and Randy Haymon of Pickering, LA; daughter, Kim Haymon Jeane of Anacoco, LA; brother, Marvin Whiddon and wife Mary of Merryville, LA; twelve grandchildren; forty-two great-grandchildren plus one on the way; eight great-great-grandchildren plus one on the way; numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members; and her fur baby, Rusty.
Estelle’s family extends their gratitude to Heart of Hospice for the wonderful care they gave to
her.
